Difference between Ceramic Ball Bearings and Steel Ball Bearings

Contact points between ferrule and rolling are subjected to external loads and rotations, resulting in producing contacting pressure and deformation repeatedly. Due to performance characteristics of steel bearings’ materials, the main form of bearing failure are fatigue peeling, short fatigue life and very limited application range. The ceramic material has low density, moderate elastic modulus, small thermal expansion coefficient, high hardness, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, non-magnetic and so on, so ceramic ball bearings can significantly improve the bearing contact fatigue life. It has greatly expanded the application for rolling bearings and has been widely used in a variety of high-precision, high-speed machine tools, automobiles, racing, subway, motor, aeroengine, petrochemical machinery, metallurgical machinery and other fields.
